OUR STORY

One evening, Joe Mantegna, Andy Garcia, and Carlito Fuente were enjoying fine cigars and lively conversation and began discussing the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation in the Dominican Republic—a charity started by the Fuente and Newman families in 2001 to improve lives in the mountainous Bonao region near the tobacco fields. Inspired, Joe proposed hosting a Los Angeles cigar dinner to benefit both that charity and local U.S. causes. Thus, Havana Nights Los Angeles was born! The inaugural event in 2023 attracted over 200 guests, followed by 300 attendees in 2024. Havana Nights 3 in 2025 is expected to draw 400 enthusiastic cigar lovers for an evening of food, drinks, live entertainment, and of course the finest cigars.
