Helping adults with intellectual, physical, and developmental challenges, and their families, through grants for education and social services. The foundation is spearheaded by Joe and Arlene Mantegna whose daughter Mia was Diagnosed with autism in 1990. Since then, they have observed that much attention and care is put towards children with special needs, and while that is certainly a worthwhile venture, these same individuals as adults can sometimes be forgotten. As Joe has said many times, “You’re an adult far longer that you are a child, and we cannot forget these special needs individuals.”
